DAY 5: STOP 10
Inside the old walls of Jeruselem and through the Dung Gate and through modern security, we found ourselves at the Wailing Wall, which is more properly known as the Western Wall or the Kotel. This is the most significant site in the world for the Jewish people. They know that it is the last remnant of their Temple.
People write prayers and place them between the ancient stones of the Wall. Women have a place on the right and the men on the left. If a woman wants her prayer to be placed on the men's side, she must give it to a man.
The women are not to turn their back on the wall. I'm not sure about the men. I hope the rules don't apply to men because the pic below would be a problem LOL
My prayer
Leaving through the Dung Gate known as such because through it they took the waste.
