It was here that Jesus reconfirmed Peter's Primacy among the Apostles by telling him three times to feed his sheep. We visited a church at the site commemorating this. In the church is. large limestone rock in front of the altar known as the Mensa Christi - the table of Christ where Jesus laid out breakfast of bread and fish (yuck) for the Apostles after they came in from fishing. This was the third appearance of Jesus after the Resurrection.
